Bertha Mvati

Managing Director – Kenya

Bertha Mvati is the Managing Director at VAELL Kenya. She has formerly worked for VAELL as Regional Head of Finance overseeing the group finance and operations across Africa before moving to Centum’s, Zohari Leasing as the Business Manager.  She manages client requests and expectations as well as ensuring that client vehicle orders are procured on time and dealers paid as per the agreed terms. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Accounting and Finance) as well as Diploma in Business Administration.

She has over 10 years’ experience in the Leasing industry across Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda with specialization in fund raising, credit risk, operations and asset management. She oversees the company’s operations and strategy implementation. The most exciting thing about her job is offering financial solutions for a broad range of clients and managing their assets.

Ms. Anna Asio

Uganda Branch Manager

Ms. Asio has been working for VAELL Uganda since 2013. She also oversees operations in VAELL Rwanda. She heads operations. He other roles includes sourcing for clients, procurement, client management and legal affairs.

She holds a Bachelors of Laws (LLB) from Uganda Christian University, a diploma in Taxation Administration from East African School of Taxation and currently doing her Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the same University.

CPA Charles Wahome

Head of Accounts and Treasury

CPA Charles Wahome is the  Head of Accounts and Treasury at VAELL. He joined VAELL in 2015 as the Head of Accounts. He has a vast experience in audit having worked with PKF as Senior Auditor before joining VAELL. Charles also has immense accounting and finance experience having worked with various companies operating in various industries. He is a certified member of Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Kenya (ICPAK).

Lizzy Mutheu

Head of Internal Audit

Lizzy has extensive work experiences as internal auditor, financial controller and contract management. Prior to joining VAELL, she worked at Kenya Women Microfinance Bank (KWFT) as both an Accountant and Internal Auditor. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce – Accounting option- from KCA University. She is also a Certified Public Accountant, CPA (K). She has worked with the company since 2017. She also has extensive experience in the use of Computer Aided Audit Techniques (CAAT).

Susan Muthoni Kariuki

Legal Officer

She holds Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Mount Kenya University.  Ms. Kariuki is experienced in corporate legal related tasks, driving policy and implementation, performance and general legal review and directing facets of corporate legal aspects. She has worked prior with Global Initiative on Economic Social and Cultural Rights of Kenya and Miller and Company advocates in association with Manchester law firm in United kingdom. She has worked for VAELL as a Legal Officer since 2017.
